If I receive a gift I always follow up with a thank you phone call or thank you note. But not everyone is me. Today a client called an was discourteous with our phone representative telling them even though the gift showed delivered there was no way it was as he knows the person would have called him to thank him. So he wanted his money back.
We do something called Quality Assurance follow ups - we call the recipient and make sure the basket was indeed was received and if they were pleased with the gift. Our rep offered to do this in this case for our client. This gift was indeed received by the recipient and was loved. He could not have been happier with it. We relayed this to our client who purchased the gift.
We see this time and time again - people send gifts and wait to hear from the recipient thanking them and never do. This leads me to the title of this blog. Not everyone - especially corporate executives send thank you letters. They receive numerous gifts throughout the year and especially the holidays.
So, do not be afraid to call us and ask if the gift was delivered - we will do the follow up for you. For our clients to call the recipient and ask "did you get my gift" puts all in an uncomfortable position. We are here to help - we have solutions for this!
